To
Amr Ibrahim: that's not a bug, it's a preference. It's configurable, and
is set to be bigger than in previous versions.

Jaime, Amr is talking about the big shadows on windows, not on the Unity
tooltips. The tooltips' shadows being clipped is considered a bug, while
the windows having a larger shadow is just a change in 14.04.

and menus (both global and local menus) compared to previous releases of
Unity in earlier Ubuntu releases. Should I open a new bug for this?

Bugs,
Amr Ibrahim, do you think it's really a bug, not an intentional change of the
theme? Recently, a new window decorator has been implemented and app windows
become borderless. It looks like the shadows around app windows may be wider
due to these changes... As for me, I cannot see any ugly window
I think it's a bug yeah. See the picture I attached. The window has too
much shadow compared to earlier releases of Unity/Ubuntu. I'm comparing
with Ubuntu 12.04 and 13.10.
** Attachment added: Too much Shadow around window.png
This also applies to all menus and tooltips.
