I'm not seeing this on any machine anymore. On the other hand I didn't
see anything specifically intended to fix it.
My guess was there was something stuck in gconf or similar machinery and
it got unwedged again, but the bug may still be latent.

This seems no longer to be broken on one of the machines where I was
experiencing the problem. I'll test on the other too. I don't remember
changing anything likely to affect this, other than following gutsy
updates.
