Okay Now i am trying this without compiz. Its basic KWIN.

Check out that video. Its pretty sluggish. Also Xorg uses alot of cpu
when all this should have been done at the GPU.

It seems to get slower with some new update. Ever since i saw the new kernel
and nvidia-glx package updated around 2-3 times updates ago
I got a 6600GT as well.
Also, I do notice that IF i leave my machine idle, absolutely doing
nothing for a couple of hours and I come back and use it, it keeps
I'm using gutsy, so that wolkaround probably doesn't work, but it would
be very nice to get it work on my card ...

This is a bug in the nvidia driver. They offer a workaround in their
documentation and compiz uses it in gutsy but it doesn't work with every
card. Are you using gutsy or feisty?
