The output of xrandr is as below. The default resolution after the system is installed is 800x600. I can set the resolution to 1280x1024 by using xrandr -s 0, but the resolution cannot be set as 1024x768. Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 800 x 600, maximum 1280 x 1280 VGA connected

The root cause for this bug is that Tribe 3 didn't recognize the monitor type automatically. The monitor I use is Phillips 170b6. After change the monitor type from General Monitor to Philips 170X in xorg.conf, it works perfectly. ** Attachment added: xorg.conf.diff
