Public bug reported: When trying to install trusty beta 1 to an existing file system, clicking the partition pops up a little window that allows me to say that I want to use it as ext4 (which the filesystem already was), and to mount it as /.
However, that same popup also display a new size in MB. I never changed it, however it shows a number that 1 higher than what is listed in the partitions overview. Proceeding anyway, ubiquity warns me that it will have to resize the partition. It does that even if I back out, and change the size to exactly what is listed in the overview. I've tried this a few times, but this always seems to trigger the resize. Interestingly, when I then proceed to click 'revert' in the partitions overview, and than set the mount point for the partition again, it still shows the wrong size (+1 MB as compared to the partition overview listing), however I can normally proceed without ubiquity asking me about resizing. So that's a work-around, at least... ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1299456 Title: unintended partition resize To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1299456/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
