Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Found on my Macbook (2007), running gutsy/amd64: Pressing the brightness up/down buttons drops the backlight down to it's dimmest setting (or second dimmest, in the case of the up button). Using the Power Manager Brightness Applet / (un)plugging the AC, the backlight sets as normal. This bug seems specific to the hotkeys. ii gnome-power-manager 2.19.6-0ubuntu1 frontend for gnome-powermanager ii hal 0.5.9.1-1ubuntu2 Hardware Abstraction Layer BTW: I've patched the hal configuration in accordance with bug #119184 ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: macbook ** Tags added: macbook ** Description changed: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager Found on my Macbook (2007), running gutsy/amd64: Pressing the brightness up/down buttons drops the backlight down to it's dimmest setting (or second dimmest, in the case of the up button).
