I am currently on Ubuntu 14.10 and my time on battery improved significant. The CPU temperate now gets below 60°C on idle (~57°C; but 47-50°C on Windows). I am still concerned since the overall heat produced from the laptop is somehow still much more less on Windows. I am not sure if the
