Public bug reported: Unity loses windows of running applications when multiple monitors are in use. To reproduce:
- set up dual monitors, 4 virtual desktops - open app - right click on title bar and select "move to workspace X" (this menu also claims the window is on a different workspace than it really is) - window disappears and launcher indicator goes away indicating that the application closed - the actual application is still running (can be verified with ps) - the app window has become inaccessible - clicking on the launcher icon launches a new instance of the app, the old one keeps on running in the background limbo ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: unity 7.2.0+14.04.20140404-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-23.45-generic 3.13.8 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-23-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu1 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins' CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Wed Apr 9 11:56:28 2014 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-03-24 (15 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Alpha amd64+mac (20140323) SourcePackage: unity UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug trusty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1304924 Title: Loses windows with multiple monitoris To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1304924/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
