ISST-KVM-UBUNTU:20 scsi disks in a VM, fisk -l doesnot list all the
disks av
All these 20 disks are qcow2 formatted .. I have created these qcow2 format
disks on the nfs mounted directory.
So different issue exists with parted -l also ..
root@ubuntu:~# parted -l
Model: IBM 2145 (scsi)
Disk /dev/sda: 21.5GB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B
Partition Table: gpt

are any of those 20 disks in GPT format?
look at bug 1295017 and 1278425.
default fdisk is not supposed to support GPT disks and Canonical is not
going to fix it.
try "parted -l"
options would be to install gnu fdisk
