Public bug reported: Attempting to upgrade from Saucy < 13.10 > to Trusty <14.04 > which came up as ready for install in the software manager.
it first failed from the gui I ran it in the commandline to see if it would work any better. I cleared out all extra repositories and tried this a few times every time it fails to calculate the changes/upgrade Checking package manager Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Building data structures... Done Calculating the changes Could not calculate the upgrade An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade. This can be caused by: * Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu * Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the command 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal. ------------------- eban@Kalibos:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 13.10 Release: 13.10 eban@Kalibos:~$ sudo do-release-upgrade failing.
