Public bug reported: I first noticed this about three weeks ago while scrolling through a large PDF file via rdesktop; finally located error messages in kern.log today. Symptom is sudden loss of network connection. Both systems involved must be shut down, allowed to cool for several minutes, then re-booted, to restore network actions. The kern.log entry indicates timeout during file-splice action but I have not found more detail than that.
