This affects me too. Pressing Ctrl + H toggles hidden files correctly until a new nautilus window is opened. I've checked dconf-editor as suggested in http://www.maketecheasier.com/nautilus-disable-show-hidden-files/ and show-hidden-files is false/unchecked, but it doesn't change behaviour of

You might have Show hidden and backup files setting checked in your Preferences. I had this setting checked and nautilus was showing hidden files persistently between reboots. Uncheck this setting and see if you are still facing the problem. http://imgur.com/uqPuHAo -- You received this bug
