All those Debian bugs (except a kFreeBSD one) have been addressed now.
The PPA at https://launchpad.net/~thopiekar/+archive/ubuntu/pygame is
building successfully (last build was 3 days ago).
The upcoming pygame 1.9.4 release is being tracked here:

Debian's bug tracker has several bugs about failure to build (or failure
to pass tests) on some architectures.

These are unlikely to get fixed by upstream. There's very little active
development on pygame at the moment, and when people do
you can get it via ppa:thopiekar/pygame
