Sometimes Gnucash doesn't redraw window

I experience this same problem with both gimp and gnucash. I have to
minimize window, or switch to another desktop in order to have their
windows redrawn.

Today I experienced very similar behaviour with not redrawing window with GIMP
program on Ubuntu 14.04.
After two restarts of GIMP it started to behave normally.

Hi all,
It is probably caused by using ibus instead of xim as your input method.
(ibus is often used to type different languages.) see here for fix:

I found similar bug report #770304 , but looks like experienced there
issue was fixed and even starting Gnucash with
$ LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 gnucash
sometimes lead to described here bug.
