Public bug reported:

paravirt guests work.

followed instructions:
http://www.math.dartmouth.edu/~sarunas/xen_304_hvm_etch.html (For HVM
guest)

$ sudo xm create -c winxp
Using config file "/etc/xen/winxp".
Started domain winxp
xenconsole: Could not read tty from store: No such file or directory

/etc/xen/winxp:

kernel="/usr/lib/xen-ioemu-3.1/boot/hvmloader"
builder='hvm'
device_model='/usr/lib/xen/bin/qemu-dm'
memory=1024
name='winxp'
vif=[ 'type=ioemu' ]
disk=['file:/xen/images/winxp.img,ioemu:hda,w','file:/usr/local/iso/winxp.iso,hdc:cdrom,r']
boot='d'
vnc=1

according to this thread there should be log files in /var/log/qemu*
that will help to debug the problem.
http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2006-07/msg00870.html

Finally, why is hvmloader in: /usr/lib/xen-ioemu-3.1/boot/hvmloader?
It doesn't need to be a moving target for users... could there at least be a
consistent symlink so that tutorials can be written for hvm and consistency
remains?

I will attach the xend.log

** Affects: xen-3.1 (Ubuntu)
