Interesting, this has been working perfect for a while using this patch
, i noticed that this is happening again after upgrade to kernel
3.13.0-30 , https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1284043
We need to review what change reactivated this misbehavior.

I don't believe this bug has been fixed. I am running on 14.04.1 with
the latest biosdevname package and am still seeing the issue:
# cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=14.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=trusty
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION=Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
# dpkg -l | grep biosdevname
ii
