There's a huge amount of people (I'm an active user of #ubuntu-br on
freenode) who install ubuntu, like it, but for some reason reinstall
windows on another partition. When they do this, grub is wiped from the
harddisk. I remember an old version of mandrake having a recover boot
loader option on
