Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better.
I can confirm that when using the package network manager on ubuntu touch
utopic #193 using the steps provided by Alan that I can reproduce the bug.
Therefore I have set this bug to confirmed.

This still happens on latest image. Every time I boot I have to switch
to a different access point to get a signal.
