This workaround still works, but the file is at
~/.config/remmina/remmina.pref (or, I assume,
$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/remmina/remmina.pref). Thank you!
It would be nice if this were the default option, or at least
configurable in the GUI
As a workaround this can be used:
~/.remmina/remmina.pref
add:
scale=1
to the section [remmina]
This creates scaled mode as a default settings for any new connection.
