Public bug reported: This is a feature request.
It would be nice if Ubuntu had it's own livecd creation tool similar to livecd-tools that Fedora has. The current process is script based, which gets broken often after a new major release. Using spin kickstart files (or whatever you want to call them for Ubuntu) would standardize the way livecd's are created. So anyone can take any one of these config files, modify the package selection, add other repos, etc. and make their own spin very easily. The current process is too complex and overwhelming. Thanks. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1351364 Title: Create a livecd creation tool similar to livecd-tools from Fedora To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1351364/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
