Hi!
In a Kubuntu 14.04 computer, VLC does not play "Musepack audio SV 7.0"
files, although Amarok does.
A sample file ("example01 (sv7).mpc") can be downloaded from
http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/11650?getfile=22633
(if someone needs more information about that file, that URL was seen in
http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/11650).
Notes:
- The computer has the "kubuntu-restricted-extras" package installed.
- If I execute
file 'example01 (sv7).mpc'
it answers
example01 (sv7).mpc: Musepack audio, SV 7.0, quality 6 (Xtreme)
- If I execute
dpkg -l | grep -i mpc
it answers
ii libmpc2:amd64 0.9-4build1
amd64 multiple precision complex floating-point
library
ii libmpc3:amd64 1.0.1-1ubuntu1
amd64 multiple precision complex floating-point
library
ii libmpcdec6 2:0.1~r459-1ubuntu3
amd64 MusePack decoder - library
- Xine, too, can't play "Musepack audio SV 7.0" files in that computer,
although Amarok does.
