The deb I downloaded and installed is this one: sdlmame_0.120a-
0ubuntu1_amd64.deb, it works very well, I once tried to install sdlmame
from source but it ran very slow for no apparent reason, yours is
flawless so far. As for the names maybe i got confused, the 32 bit
versions are the same on both
I own an 1386 machine, I can't build amd64 packages at home, neither I
can test them.
I started uploading sdlmame on my PPA to check correctness of my rules
for amd64, but I'm still considering it some kind of beta release, as I
only had some positive feedbacks from one user. I may assume happy us

It's the drawback of having a stable release tough and that's ok because
stability comes before preatty much everything.

Revu since March.
Recently, I also become a Launchpad beta tester, and sdlmame is now on my PPA
too:
