I should have pointed out that the screen freezes up with a still image
from the cyclone screensaver.
Also, although I know it runs counter to everyone's GNOME instincts, and
that screensaver is a minor and nowadays completely cosmetic feature,
this is a perfect example of why giving people more
I'm assuming that this is a result of having installed my new nvidia
card, since I haven't seen anything like this before.

First occurrence for me in Jaunty updated to Monday 23rd March 2009.
AMD64 dual processor. Happened (or first noticed) as I clicked the space
bar to stop the screensaver.

that bug.
They should be linked up. Any idea how that can be done easily without
