I installed unity8-destktop-session-x11 to test click on the desktop but
I did not change any config (to my knowledge :) except for installing
this package. I actually thought I had unity8-desktop-session-mir
installed, but it seems that during testing I moved to the other one.

Are you running the Unity desktop type on purpose? Does this happen if
you just run the traditional non-Unity mode? This may be a bug in XMir.

Thanks, I attached the logs you requested. With 1.11.9-0ubuntu1 the
problem presists. I don't know when exactly it started but it happend
relatively recently. It might be a issue with the setup of X done by
lightdm, because when I launch my session via gdm I don't see this
problem.
