P.S. Why are we testing 0.8 with RTM? I thought RTM should be staying on
a stable and proven series (0.7)?

Unity8 gets any focus notifications from Mir at all:

It's usually helpful, when a bug is weaving through a complex software
stack of multiple projects, to start with the assistance of the
developers at the top of the stack (Unity8). Because it's not
immediately obvious what (if anything) in Mir is at play yet.
