You must have some broken local configuration. We explicitly copy these
settings over if you're using the ccp plugin and have integration
enabled. We have both of these on by default in gutsy.

Via the the Appearance capplet. I cleared all /apps/compiz settings before
switching to 'Normal/Extra effects'.
After that 'Desktop Cube' and 'Rotate Cube' were enabled.
Are there any other config files which could affect this? I found
~/.compizconfig/config and ~/.config/compiz/compizconfig/co
We don't enable the cube by default, not sure how you'd get that. How
are you starting compiz?
