Still a problem for me using Intrepid also. Does anyone have more
information about this bug? All I found was this at the compiz forums:

I'd like to know exactly what the problem is and whether anybody has a

This is still a problem here with Ubuntu 8.10. I'm using newest Nvidia-
drivers, but as unggnu mentions this doesn't seem to be nvidia specific
bug.

I have an Intel 915 graphic card and it isn't possible to play a 3D game
in Wine with enabled compiz. The panels always stay on top and the
desktop goes black but you see nothing.

Does clicking on the fullscreen window help?

That used to be the case but not anymore since the updates.
