Most likely, KDM is not actively maintained anymore, and KDE has chosen
SDDM as their default display manager for Plasma 5, so unless someone
actively works on getting systemd support into KDM, it will be dropped.

I don't think this will ever be supported, please use SDDM or LightDM (
might work, not entirely sure ) if you're using systemd.
