The best solution here would be to upgrade cmus to 2.6.0 release & build with the ffmpeg source now available in 15.04 Specifically cmus (cmus-ffmpeg plugin) will work fine with swresample vs. the broken avresample patch in 2.5.x Demo build here - https://launchpad.net/~mc3man/+archive/ubuntu/f
