I guess it must be related to Nautilus. When I pick a different manager,
the copy process to the USB stick seems to be fine.

Sorry Joseph but I do not want to test with the latest kernel. Too
dangerous for me.
Last week I tried that for another ticket and then I couldn't boot my
machine anymore. Took me hours to reinstall and reconfigure the whole
system.
