Thanks for your report. In my version of Adept, a progress bar with the whole
process is displayed at bottom of window. Do you have problem with this? Please
what version of adept is affected (use dpkg -l adept-updater to know it).

To avoid confusion I would recommend changing the title of this bug to
reflect that it is an adept-updater bug and not an update-manager bug,
since we do have a program in Ubuntu called update-manager.
