This is certainly no bug in Firefox since proxy settings are generally freely accessible as far as I know. Seems to me to be more of a limitation of dansguardian, not necessarily a bug there either, though. I'm therefore closing this. It might be helpful if you get into contact with Mozilla directl

dansguardian is content filtering that use a proxy on the same system as the firefox browser that means: i can connect to the internet with direct connection setting - no content filtering or trough the proxy with dansguardian setting - content filtering enabled in firefox the preferences are

This sounds more like a limitation of dansguardian than Firefox. Normally a local user doesn't need to stop themselves from adjusting their own proxy settings. (Unless I have misunderstood this bug.) ** Visibility changed to: Public ** This bug is no longer flagged as a security issue ** Change
