Public bug reported: I just installed Ubuntu SDK on Ubuntu 14.10 (upgraded from 14.04 just over a month ago). Creating an emulator works fine, but launching it from Qt Creator using the "Play" button causes nothing to happen; no error, completely silent failure.
Launching from the command line gives errors as below: aaron@laptop ~> ubuntu-emulator list i386-devel ubuntu=20140917,device=20140917,version=243 aaron@laptop ~> ubuntu-emulator run i386-devel fork/exec /usr/share/android/emulator/out/host/linux-x86/bin/emulator: no such file or directory I have checked and this binary does indeed *not* exist. The directory listing stops at /usr/share/android/emulator/out and only contains the directory "target" as demonstrated below: aaron@laptop:~$ ls -l /usr/share/android/emulator/out/ total 4 drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Dec 2 18:35 target/ ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.10 Package: phablet-tools 1.1+14.10.20141010-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.16.0-25.33-generic 3.16.7 Uname: Linux 3.16.0-25-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.14.7-0ubuntu8 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Wed Dec 3 09:54:01 2014 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-04-25 (222 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Release amd64 (20140417) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: phablet-tools UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to utopic on 2014-10-23 (40 days ago) ** Affects: phablet-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug third-party-packages utopic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1398755 Title: Error when running Ubuntu emulator -- fork/exec /usr/share/android/emulator/out/host/linux-x86/bin/emulator: no such file or directory To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/phablet-tools/+bug/1398755/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
