I've tried with xenial-desktop-amd64 live cd, but I get the same
slowness, no improvement.
I've also tried to lanuch it through virtualbox, but it doesn't help

robegue, I'm not convinced we have an actionable issue here that needs
to be addressed via scheduling resource now. This is how to have a few
seconds in scrolling the attached picture is expected here.
Also, it matches the speed with which Office does the scrolling.
