may not work as you are using the bcmwl proprietary driver.
Hence, could you please advise if this issue happened with a prior
version of the bcmwl driver?

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.19 kernel[0].
