The ones that have been prepended, will be used first; in this case '208.67.222.222'. What happens if you manually try: dig ubuntu.com @208.67.222.222 does this resolv, and if so how quickly? Can you also include the output of: grep hosts /etc/nsswitch.conf ** Changed in: ubuntu
