getting stuck on some bad file.

Amarok appears to hang
I was able to fix this by doing a full scan on my collection
Tools-Recan Collection
I have only tested this solution for an hour, but it seems to have fixed
the problem on local filesystems - have not tested remote file systems,
but I had the same problem on a local drive

I can confirm that. I use gutsy with latest updates too. I tried
scanning files on a usb drive first: Hangs at 35%. I then copied all
files to a local drive an the scan now hangs at 68%. amarokcollection
takes about 50% load on one core. After killing the process, collection
scanning resumes and
~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/collection_scan.log contains only one line:
/mnt/tmp/Music/mp3/Linkin Park/Meteora/Linkin Park - 11 - Nobody's Listening.mp3
collection_scan.files contains a listing of files that appears to be
complete and has not been modified in the last 24 hours.
