hoping it remains this way in the future.

The burningimage scriptl happens to cause a kernel module to crash. I
believe it was the mmc_block module that croaked there. Or caused the
croaking

I know i'm not using a TI, but if it can help...
On my Ricoh reader, my SD Card 2Go is recognized only if formatted in FAT32.
" sudo fdisk -l " will tell you if your card is actually FAT16 or FAT32.
Try to format yours (with Windows) in FAT32. Maybe it will work.
