Try to disable option "Crop Image When Loaded" in Settings --> Image
processing.

Problem persist. Please correct this or change the default settings. not
every one is able to find this workaround as described above.
Its a shame that a Bug like this persist since 2015.
Repair it, or remove it from Store!

I have the same problem but not just with drag an drop. All way to open file
crashes yagf with :
Erreur de segmentation (core dumped)
I didn't found the crop Image when loaded in my settings, I use Ubuntu 16.04.
