Since switching to systemd the Kubuntu live CD no longer boots into a
live desktop.

It'll boot into ubiquity-dm and on clicking Try Kubuntu it'll kill
ubiquity and just show a blank screen.  It can't then switch vt at all.

I did get it to boot into a desktop once by switching vt first before
clicking Try Kubuntu.

This is something to do with sddm, ubiquity-dm and systemd.

When we used upstart it skipped over ubiquity-dm because I could not
work out how to get the vt transition to work.  sddm likes to work on vt
1 while ubiquity-dm likes good old vt7
