I am also having the same issue with my Lenovo z51-70.

Ryan, wl is not the correct package for this issue.
Support is to come from the linux kernel (open source), and via the
bcmwl driver (proprietary) as upstream decides.
John, could you please connect via ethernet and then run the apport-
collect previously requested?

fairly new Lenovo model with a new BCM chip so I kind already know that
the drivers for it are not ready

not provide connectivity with this chipset.

It was a fresh install. I have tried kernel 3.19 but not 4.0, and I
still do not have connectivity. Can I update the kernel via chroot for a
LiveCD?
