Not sure if this is helpful bug info for you or not but right after writing
my response I did have an issue. I plugged my galaxy s5 into my laptop
last night to charge. For some reasons ubuntu seems to have a problem with
it, it will randomly pop up messages that it can't mount it ut then pop up
I tried 4.1-rc1-vivid. I was going to go down the list as you had
instructed but it was a going to get a little time consuming as the problem
is intermittent. It took 10 minutes before I noticed any issues with the
new kernel, the signal strength dropped my transmission DL slowed to a
crawl. I
I tried the newest kernel and had no luck
