To manage notifications about
I did do-release-upgrade -p with only the internal mirror and thank you all,
it worked like a charm!
No crash and no manual completion at the and. :-)

I tried recreating the initial bug both with and without setting
RELEASE_UPRADER_ALLOW_THIRD_PARTY and was unsuccessful in receiving the
crash described.
