In Inkscape 0.47.0-1ubuntu2 on lucid alpha3, ill2svg.pl still looks for
Image::Magick, but this is now provided by perlmagick. As far as I can
see, there is no problem now.

ill2svg.pl uses Image::Magick instead of Grap
I don't think this is really an upstream problem. If/when inkscape
stops using Image::Magick, then it will become an Ubuntu packaging issue
to remove the dependency upon perlmagick. I don't think we need a pre-

In inkscape 0.47~pre1-0ubuntu2 on karmic alpha 5, ill2svg.pl uses
Image::Magick. The ubuntu package recommends perlmagick (not

According to Bryce, the new upstream Inkscape will not use the perl
module. I'll leave this bug as a reminder to get rid of the inkscape-
related perl module (perlmagick AFAICS) when the new Inkscape lands in
Ubuntu.

There's also the perlmagick package which ships /usr/lib/perl5/Image/Magick.pm
This seems redundant.
Using inkscape and perlmagick (on Gutsy) seems to work fine.
