Update (probably unimportant):
When the transfer is complete, "Show Details" still causes Azureus to crash,
whlie Open File/Show File are unresponsive (i.e. nothing happens).

I also encountered this behavior.
Azureus crashes if I double-click a torrent being downloaded, or if I
choose "Show Details" from the right-click menu.

I came across this problem, too.
It is crashed because "An unexpected error has been detected by Java
Runtime Environment:". The JRE I was running is Java 6.0 64-Bit Edition.
Since Azureus and JRE 6.0 work fine under Feisty.
I guess here must be some problems with Java Runtime package.
