I have exactly the same Notebook (Dell Latitude D620, NVidia Quadro NVS 110M)
and the same problems as Linus Harling
with Ubuntu Gutsy.
I've tried the workaround from bug# 123104, now Suspend2RAM works most of the
time.
Suspend2Disk still does not work with this workaround, it doesn't shut's
I've also noted, that sometimes after waking up from Suspend2Disk the
WLAN does not work anymore. Do we need to add the module ipw3945 to the
MODULES section in /etc/default/acpi-support too ?
So the workaround solution is not very reliable :-(

.22-14, good (or rather; bad) to hear that it's not just mine.
To sum it up:
- resume
- black screen, flash as backlight turns on
- wait a while, then some piece of the log is displayed (in console mode, vt 8?)

Yup, the workaround in bug# 123104 worked, I'm not calling this a dupe
yet though as in our case the laptops suspend, but dies on resume.
Here's the workaround (thanks to Jose de la Rosa):
Workaround with new driver 100.14.19. In /etc/default/acpi-support,
change to:
MODULES=uvcvideo
OK, now Suspend is working for me too. I must add the kvm modules to the
list of removable ones:
MODULES=kvm kvm-intel uvcvideo
Hibernate seems to halt the computer (halt -h), but this is not so
important to me as suspend issue was.
