It had turned out that the actual work needed to be done on the of Vivid
Vervet - thats why this bug-report is a ducplicate. Thanks for

Can confirm this is fixed.
Why if this bug is a duplicate (as indicated at the top) why is it in
"Confirmed" and not closed status? Maybe launchbad works different than
bugzilla which I'm more familiar

"kubuntu-devel-release-upgrade" just worked for me. However, I did have
errors in the modemmanager and nfs-common. But it looks like this bug
can be closed.
Can someone else verify it works?
