As per your last comment, I'm marking this as invalid. As you said "it's

That's interesting - the "high quality" mode applies anti-aliasing,
which usually improves the viewed image - but not in your application.
Anyway, as you say - it isn't a bug, it's a feature.

Yes, I have it enabled.
Actually, disabling it made it as it should be, and EOG also has an option to
do that.
It appears it is a feature, not a bug after all, though it does affect printing
quality. So, probably it is a bug only for that specific type of image.
I'm attaching the sample I use.

The fact is that gThumb also does that for raster images. Like I said above,
it's only noticeable in images where sharpness matters, like scanned text.
Attached goes a side-by-side comparison of the same image in gThumb and GIMP,

format. gThumb and eog are raster viewers.
The librsvg library is used by gThumb and eog to convert the SVG image
into a raster format - automatically causing fuzziness. I'm not sure

Attached is the screenshot of Inkscape, showing the original image. I
don't print using inkscape because its printing services are terrible.

I've tried all of them.
By the way, the printer is an HP PSC-1315.
I think the problem may be (but I'm not sure) in the way gThumb (and eog) opens
the files. I've noticed that if I zoom in, the image already gets the blur
effect on-screen. That happens with normal pictures and SVGs alike, so I th
