This function should not be label as a wish, it should already be integrated.
It has been a part of iOS since forever (don't know about Android) and it is
extremely useful.
On large phones (like Meizu MX4, Pro 5 and others) you can drop your phone if
you try to take a picture with one hand.

There is no meaningful function of volume buttons during making photos.
I am also suggesting to use the volume control buttons to take a photo.
