Well, I don't understand the problem. I have been following the thread for the past few days. I notice that the Tor package on Debian is up to date. Is there much difference between the package of Debian & Ubuntu ? Anyways, I have done some packages before. So I don't think it will be a problem

Btw, I notice that the upstream himself maintains a repository that holds Ubuntu package for the latest version of Tor. That's why I don't understand what's the problem. Isn't it just going to be syncing with his repository ? And probably do some changes if needed ? -- remove tor from gutsy https
